Women in Sanatan religion

Traditional religion has given women the right status. Due to the lack of Scripture, due to various prevalent superstitions, due to motivated misguided propaganda, we are not aware of women's position in traditional religion. Let's not know the status of women in traditional religion.


1. Women are the first enlightener of the child - Atharvaveda 7/47/2.

2. Woman and man have equal rights in father's property - Rigveda 3/31/1

3. A woman may never have any kind of love - Atharvaveda 3/18/24

4. The husband and the spouse will stay together until the death. They will not accept any other life partner or do not commit adultery. This is the religion of men and women - Manusmahita 9/101


5. The husband should be loyal to only one wife. Should not have any affection for any other woman - Atharvaveda 7/38/4.

6. Women will go to the house after the education - Atharvaveda 11/5/18

7. O woman! What is the fall of the dead paternal death? Come back to real life. Take re-adoption - Atharvaveda 18/3/2 and Rigveda 10/18/8.

In the belief that the wife will go to heaven, Sahitya tradition became a prejudice in the traditional society. However, this superstition has been eliminated from the traditional society. Traditional religion itself has ordered widow marriage.


8. If a woman's husband dies, if she takes a sannyas in secret, if she is missing, if she is unable to produce a child, if she is unrighteous and oppressor, then the wife can leave her husband again - Parashara Sanghata 4.30

9. Newbie brides, daughters, and pregnant women must be fed before the guest intake - Manashakti 3/114.

10. Those who are raping or harassing women or inciting them to adultery should be punished so that they cause fear among others and no one can do it and dare - Manusambhita 8/352

11. Women abductors will be sentenced to death - Manusambhita 8/332

12. The daughter is equal to the son. Nobody can snatch his right in his presence - Manusmahita 9/130.

13. The main source of all the welfare of women as a maternal, a daughter, a wife, a sister or a partner in religion - Manusambhita 9/28

14. Women give birth to new generations or descendants. They bring good luck and blessings. They are the people of the house - Manusanghita 9/26.


15. Traditional religion teaches women to honor their dignity. During the departure of Draupadi, Lord Krishna saved his honor.

16. In the traditional religion, women are called wives. Husband-wife will go to the temple together, do religious work.

 17. Let the woman keep on walking safely - Manusanghita 2/138

18. One of the sacred works of marriage in traditional religion is the Sixteenth Amendment. Here marriage is done through Vedic mantras. Marriage in traditional religion is the union of the soul with soul.

19. Traditional religion has instructed men and women to wear tasty and elegant clothes.

O men and women, your clothes and eyes are always polite and humble. Let you're running, be restrained, covered with clothes, abandoning nudity - Rigveda 8/33/19.


20. Traditional religion, men and women all equal. People all over the gender or gender identity are taught to think.

Nobody is big in humans, none is small. They are the best since birth - Rigveda 5/59/6

21. If anyone is to blame in the name of mother, wife or daughter, he must be punished - Manusambhita 8/275.

22. Traditional religion believes in women empowerment and leadership of women. Women in Mahabharata are seen in many important positions. Women also have the right to drive chariots/vehicles.

23. Those who kill women, children, and quality scholars must be punished with their worst punishments - Manusmohita 9/232.

24 Without a valid reason, leaving a mother, father, wife or child, she will be given a tough rash - Manusanghita 8/389.


25. The traditional religion does not support cruel ways like divorce. For this, there is no divorce under the traditional marriage law. If there is a disagreement between husband and wife, they will remain separate and the husband and wife should give support to the wife.
